I have been interviewed by Bristol Post on the importance of LGBTQIA+ informed/affirmative therapy:
'Bristol Psychotherapist's Mission to Support Queer Community'.

About Me
My name is Ky, and I have been offering in-person therapy to adults in Bristol since 2021. I am registered with UKCP as a trainee psychotherapist working towards my MA in Integrative Psychotherapy.
I hold an inclusive, anti-oppressive practice, and hold great passion for explorations of identity, gender, sexuality and relationship diversity. Neurodiversity and chronic illness are other areas of interest/experience.
What Therapy With Me Looks Like
With so many types of therapy out there, you might wonder which is right for you. Though there are specialist therapies on offer for particular needs, numerous studies have shown that what matters most, rather than the type of therapy, is the relationship between you and your therapist, so this is where we start.
Therapy gives us a place to work through the things might feel unable to in our day-to-day life. These might include difficulties around relationships, past trauma, gender and sexual identity, or more generalised experiences like low self-worth, anxiety, depression, a feeling of 'stuckness', or a lack of authentic engagement and passion for life.
I offer somewhere for your experience to be heard, without judgement. In this space we will aim to deepen your understanding of yourself, your story, and the ways you show up in life and relationships. There may also be challenges to long-established ways of being that no longer serve you, alongside work towards living life in a way that feels more connected, joyful and authentic.
As a Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapist, I see you as a unique individual with unique needs, and draw on a variety of approaches to suit you. There is no one-size-fits-all way to help someone. We give attention where it feels needed, and check in regularly on how it is going. If something feels right in therapy, we can lean into it. If something feels off, we can address it without judgement.
My Values and Experience
I place great importance on the autonomy of every person—a value that has solidified over 15 years in the helping professions. I spent time as a volunteer youth counsellor with Off The Record BANES, working primarily with university students, and recently led a local arts and crafts group for community wellbeing for a year and a half.
